Fully-autonomous flight for critical disaster reconnaissance
Emergency responders are exposed to extraordinary risk when entering a dangerous disaster area without any reconnaissance. PF1 -Protection can fly fully autonomously into a disaster area; no manual control necessary. PF1-Protection is equipped with both a high-resolution (4k) and an IR camera, enabling quick and precise location of survivors without the need for first responders to enter potentially dangerous disaster areas. Moreover, video transmission technology allows for real time monitoring from a remote location (control room), giving a huge boost to search and rescue or other disaster relief efforts.
- Aerial photography of landslides and fissures for fast situation analysis can easily be taken with simple autonomous flight.

- Search and rescue
- Thermo-cameras assist search and rescue missions by identifying heat emitted from the air.
PF1-Protection carries both a high-resolution camera and a thermal camera. Live feed of one or the other can be switched remotely.
Simple ground station control
Personnel should avoid entering hazardous areas whenever possible. The new ground control software enables simple and fast route planning for autonomous flight over these areas.
Images from the camera can be monitored from a remote location using 1.2GHz, 2.4GHz or,5.7GHz radio transmissions.
