ACSL Exhibited “SOTEN” and “PF2-CAT3”, Japan’s First Products to Receive the Class1 UAS Type Certificate, in the International Media Center at the G7 Hiroshima Summit

  • ACSL exhibited at the G7 Hiroshima Summit in the International Media Center, displaying SOTEN and PF2-CAT3, the first Japanese products to receive class1 UAS type certificate.
  • PF2-CAT3 attracted a great deal of attention from both domestic and international media, as it was used for the first successful delivery by a Level 4 drone in Japan.

ACSL Ltd. (Edogawa Ward, Tokyo; Satoshi Washiya, CEO, hereafter ACSL) exhibited its PF2-CAT3, which received Japan’s first class1 UAS type certificate, and SOTEN, a secure small aerial photography drone, at the government public relations exhibition booth in the International Media Center (IMC) with the G7 Hiroshima Summit, from May 18 to 22, 2023.

An exhibition space with the theme “Exhibits of actual drones and unmanned helicopters, and introduction to their social implementation”.

In this space, more than 80 exhibits were planned in categories such as “From Reconstruction to Peaceful Society and Sustainable Future,” “Succession of Japanese Culture through Tradition and Cutting-edge Technology,” and “Pioneering the Future with the Next-generation Power” to showcase initiatives that contribute to solving various issues facing the international community. ACSL exhibited with Aeronext Inc. and Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. under the theme of “Exhibits of actual drones and unmanned helicopters, and introduction to their social implementation”.

The PF2-CAT3 drone on display was the first drone in Japan to receive the class1 UAS type certificate from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism on March 13, 2023. The PF2-CAT3 also attracted the attention of the domestic and international media that attended the exhibition, as it successfully participated in Japan’s first Level 4 flight (unassisted, out-of-sight flight in a manned zone) organized by Japan Post on March 24, 2023.
In addition, SOTEN is equipped with security measures against information leaks, hacking, etc., and can be used with peace of mind from the perspective of economic security, which was explained in an easy-to-understand manner using a video.

ACSL is accelerating its overseas expansion, including the establishment of ACSL, Inc. in California, a subsidiary to make a full-scale entry into the U.S. market in February 2023. We will continue to expand awareness of ACSL and strengthen information dissemination to create positioning with keywords such as economic security, corporate support, and application specific.
