ACSL’s PF2-CAT3, Japan’s First Domestically Produced Drone to Acquire Class1 UAS Aircraft Certification, Successfully Completed its Second Level4 Drone Delivery in Japan

  • ACSL provided Japan’s first PF2-CAT3 with class1 UAS aircraft certification to ANAHD’s Level4 drone delivery service demonstration experiment, which resulted in a total of 11 successful Level 4 drone delivery flights.
  • ACSL will continue to develop safe and secure drones that can handle Level4 flights, thereby revolutionizing social infrastructure and realizing the goal of making heavy and dangerous work unmanned.

ACSL Ltd. (Edogawa Ward, Tokyo; Satoshi Washiya, CEO, hereafter ACSL) provided its PF2-CAT3, the first drone with class1 UAS aircraft certification in Japan, to ANA HOLDINGS INC. (headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo; Koji Shibata, President; hereinafter “ANAHD”) for a demonstration experiment of a drone delivery service using unassisted overflight (Level4) in a manned zone (over a third party) in Kumejima-cho, Okinawa Prefecture from November 6 to 9, 2023. Then, a total of 11 Level4 flights were successfully conducted to demonstrate the drone delivery service.
This is the second Level4 flight using PF2-CAT3 in Japan, following the flight on March 24, 2023.

ACSL will continue to develop safe and secure drones that can handle Level4 flights, thereby revolutionizing social infrastructure and realizing the goal of making heavy and dangerous work unmanned. We will also promote the social implementation of drones as more familiar things to people.
