Notice Concerning Large Project Order

ACSL Ltd. (ACSL) hereby announces that it has received an order for a large-scale project (the Project) related to its small aerial photography drone through a bidding process conducted by the Ministry of Defense. ACSL has a continuous track record of orders for projects for the Ministry of Defense, and it recognizes that this order is the result of the evaluation of the reliability of its products and its past achievements in this field.
In recent years, the positioning of drones has significantly evolved against a backdrop of changes in the social environment, including defense, national security, and economic security. In response to rising geopolitical risks, drones are increasingly recognized as critical technologies supporting national security and key infrastructure in Japan and other countries, and regulations and utilization are simultaneously advancing in procurement and operations. In addition to these trends, as labor shortages drive demand for unmanned operations and as drones become increasingly implemented in fields such as disaster assessment, material transport, and infrastructure inspection, the drone market is entering a turning point where their role now extends beyond efficiency improvements to broader applications in defense, national security, and economic security.
In its medium-term management plan, “ACSL Accelerate FY26,” ACSL has positioned contributions to the defense and security sectors as a key strategy and is advancing initiatives to strengthen participation in government procurement in Japan, including for the Ministry of Defense, by leveraging the strengths of its small aerial photography drones.
