Notice Concerning Large Project Order
ACSL Ltd. (ACSL) hereby announces that, following the large-scale project announced on March 23, 2026, it has received orders for two additional large-scale projects (the Projects) related to its small aerial photography drones through bidding processes conducted by the Ministry of Defense. ACSL has an established track record of receiving orders from the Ministry of Defense, and ACSL views this order as a testament to its products’ recognized reliability and proven track record in this field.
In recent years, the role of drones has evolved significantly driven by sweeping changes across sectors including defense, national security, and economic security. In response to rising geopolitical risks, drones are increasingly recognized as critical technologies supporting national security and key infrastructure in Japan and other countries, and regulatory frameworks and operational deployment are advancing in parallel across procurement and operations. In addition to these trends, as labor shortages drive demand for unmanned operations and as drones are increasingly deployed in fields such as disaster assessment, material transport, and infrastructure inspection, drones are reaching an inflection point, with their role extending beyond efficiency improvements to broader applications in defense, national security, and economic security.
In its medium-term management plan, “ACSL Accelerate FY26,” ACSL has identified contributions to the defense and security sectors as a core strategic priority and is advancing initiatives to expand its presence in Japanese government procurement, including for the Ministry of Defense, by leveraging the strengths of its small aerial photography drones.
