At Commercial UAV Expo 2025, held in September 2 to 4, 2025 in Las Vegas, ACSL, Inc. exhibited the small aerial photography drone “SOTEN”, various optional cameras for SOTEN including the thermal camera payload “SAMO”, and the new smart controller “TAITEN” announced in August 2025*¹. Developed with the needs of the U.S. market in mind, both SAMO and TAITEN attracted particular attention at the exhibition.

SAMO is a high-resolution infrared camera that complies with the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) and is designed to meet local demands in both economic security and camera performance. In the upgrade announced in August, a 20x zoom function was newly added. Furthermore, through collaboration with FLIR, the camera is expected to support MSX® (Multi-Spectral Dynamic Imaging) technology within this year.
TAITEN is a new smart controller designed for use in field operations such as public safety and industrial inspections. Equipped with a high-resolution 7” built-in display and IP54-rated weather resistance, it delivers high levels of clarity, durability, and control to meet the needs of on-site operators. At the exhibition, our Global CTO Cris Raabe presented on the SOTEN-SAMO-TAITEN solution, with special emphasis on introducing the launch of TAITEN smart controller. The presentation received strong interest from attendees, with many expressing enthusiasms over the upgrade in field operations that TAITEN will enable.

And ACSL, Inc. CEO Cynthia Huang presented alongside a panel of major enterprise companies Ameren, American Tower Corporation, Southern California Edison and Southern Company on UAS use in critical infrastructure workflows.
