- ACSL, Inc. has commenced full-scale expansion in the Canadian market in collaboration with Draganfly, a developer of drone solutions and systems.
- In addition to introducing “SOTEN” to Canada, the two companies have commenced technical integration to enable Draganfly’s drones to support ACSL products, including SOTEN camera payloads.
- As part of a key strategic initiative under ACSL’s mid-term management plan, “Full-Scale Expansion of U.S. Business,” the partnership marks ACSL’s full-scale entry into the Canadian market, with a focus on public safety and other industrial applications.
ACSL Ltd. (“ACSL”) announces that its U.S. subsidiary, ACSL, Inc., has commenced full-scale expansion of its industrial drone business in the Canadian market.
As part of this initiative, ACSL, Inc. will begin sales of its small aerial photography drone “SOTEN” in Canada from June 2026, in collaboration with Draganfly Inc. (“Draganfly”), a Canada-based developer of drone solutions and systems. In parallel, the two companies will advance technical integration aimed at enabling interoperability between their respective products.
■Overview
Globally, the drone market is increasingly shaped by policies related to economic security and trusted supply chains. In the U.S., the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) restricts government procurement of drones manufactured in certain countries. In addition, DJI, a Chinese drone manufacturer, has been designated by the U.S. Department of Defense as a “Chinese Military Company” since October 2022.
Similar regulatory developments are anticipated in Canada. In light of this trend and growing demand in sectors such as public safety, ACSL, Inc. entered into a distributor agreement in December 2025 with Jam Industries Ltd. (“Jam”), a Canada-based company, and received an order for 200 units of SOTEN*. Building on this initiative, ACSL, Inc. will commence actual sales in the Canadian market through a commercial channel originating with Jam, under a sales and customer deployment framework involving Draganfly.
ACSL, Inc. has entered into a distributor agreement with Draganfly for the Canadian market. Draganfly develops drone solutions and systems and has an established product lineup primarily consisting of medium- and large-sized drones and a proven sales track record. Under this agreement, “SOTEN” will be deployed in the Canadian market through Draganfly’s sales and service network.
Beyond sales activities, the two companies will also begin technical collaboration aimed at enhancing interoperability between their products. Specifically, technical integration will be undertaken to enable certain Draganfly-manufactured drones to support ACSL’s camera payloads for SOTEN and ACSL’s smart controller “TAITEN.” This collaboration will allow customers in the Canadian market to benefit from more flexible and scalable drone operation solutions.
■Future Outlook
The SOTEN units ordered from ACSL, Inc. by Jam will be introduced to the Canadian market through Draganfly beginning in June 2026. Through this partnership, ACSL and Draganfly aim to promote wider adoption of drones in industrial and public safety applications in Canada and to expand sales of ACSL products in the region.
Comment from Cynthia Huang, CEO of ACSL, Inc.
We’ve seen significant adoption of the ACSL platform in the U.S., and we’re excited to bring this technology to the Canadian drone market. With its modular design of swappable camera payloads, once SOTEN gets incorporated into a workflow, it becomes a go-to choice for many missions. This partnership is a great reflection of addressing the needs of customers, increasing interoperability among drone solution providers to build a more resilient industry.
Comment from Cameron Chell, CEO of Draganfly Inc.
We’ve taken a hard look at the market, and ACSL stands out as the strongest partner in this segment to integrate with our OEM product line. This gives customers a true single-source solution, combining best-in-class manufacturing and technology to build scalable, future-ready drone programs.
This initiative aligns with ACSL’s mid-term plan, “ACSL Accelerate FY26,” and specifically supports one of its key strategic priorities: “full-scale expansion of U.S. Business.” The ACSL Group will continue to respond to market changes driven by economic security policies and will advance product development and expand its sales and service networks to expand its presence in North America.
